In a major step toward construction, Third.i has completed the Stage 1 development analysis for the planning proposal at Charmhaven, allowing the project to progress towards approval.
The studies, which focused on environmental impact, infrastructure readiness, and long-term sustainability, have been designed to ensure that the development not only meets but exceeds the expectations of the local community and government.
These comprehensive studies mark the culmination of extensive research and planning, offering a roadmap for the successful execution of the Charmhaven precinct. Florian Caillon, Head of Acquisitions, expressed his satisfaction with the findings.
“The completion of these studies is a key moment, providing us the chance to present to governments the merit of the application and fulfilling a significant portion of the housing accord targets, ” he said.
“We now have a full understanding of the development’s potential and look froward to working with State and Local Governments to ensure its success. From environmental assessments to infrastructure planning, these studies confirm that we are ready to move forward with a our rezoning application, which benefits both Charmhaven and the wider region.”
The studies also reflect Third.i’s commitment to sustainability. Green building practices, energy efficiency, and innovative infrastructure solutions have all been incorporated into the precinct’s design, ensuring it will be both environmentally responsible and economically viable.
Briane Swaine, Head of Thirdi Communities, noted the importance of these studies for the project’s long-term success.
“The completion of the Stage 1 site investigations give us a solid foundation to put forward a tested development footprint based on factual and real-time analysis,” he said.
“We’ve left no stone unturned in ensuring that Charmhaven will be a model for sustainable and innovative urban development.”
With all Stage 1 studies completed, Charmhaven is now poised to become one of the most forward-thinking and sustainable community precincts in New South Wales – subject to State and Local Government approvals.
